Transport Fever 2 - Victorian Railways R Class | Australian Steam Locomotive
The Victorian Railways R class was a 4-6-4 “Hudson” steam locomotive built in Scotland by the North British Locomotive Company in 1951. Designed for express passenger services, it became VR’s final mainline steam design. Several were later refurbished by Steamrail Victoria and others for heritage and excursion runs. Of the original 70 built, seven survive today, with R 761 and R 707 being the most famous operational examples.
