The Z 20500 are double-decker self-powered trains with 1,500 V and 25,000 V intended for the RER and Transilien service.
Six other trains of a similar type with four long wagons, the Z 92050, delivered and acquired in 1996 by the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region, were transformed into Z 20500 in 2015.
