Transport Fever 2 - OBB 1043
Starting in 1971, the ÖBB from ASEA Sweden procured 10 units of the 1043 series, which, due to the thyristor technology, enabled greater use of tractive power than with the previous AC locomotives. The whole thing turned out to be a great success, after which the Austrian series 1044 was developed with this technology. Despite its robustness and reliability, the series, because splitter group, was retired in 2001 and sold to Sweden.
