Transport Fever 2 - Generic British Freight Wagons V4.0
This mod has been like pulling teeth. For some reason it’s been time consuming and difficult and exhausting to get to this point, and I’m not even sure why exactly. Each vehicle is fairly complicated, but I’ve tackled complicated before. But for whatever reason, this mod burned me out multiple times, so even getting to this point of completion is an accomplishment in itself.
With that in mind, don’t expect a part 2 anytime soon. I would like to, some day? But for now I need a break because hooo boy was this excruciating.
Anyway, what you get in this pack is two generations of generic freight wagons covering all vanilla cargo loads (and at least in theory a fair few modded cargo loads, though this has been tested less extensively and is only tentatively supported). Most wagons also have custom cargo loads with multiple variants, including tarps and some empty variations with straw lining the bottom of the wagon for more visual noise.
Also included are a number of brake van variants for you to use, and both sets are fairly interchangeable, reflecting the period where wagons of this type were pretty much run until they fell apart. All wagons also come in two liveries – a generic brown and generic grey. In total there are 46 variants to choose from (and I might add more over time as well.)
Features:
-A total of 46 different models to choose from.
-23 variants of freight wagon and brake vans spread across 2 generations typical of the period between 1840-1910, reflective of common UK designs, liveries and aesthetics.
-2 Liveries to choose from – or mix and match!
-Full ageing support. Detailed dirt and rust maps accumulate dirt and paint thins and fades as the wagons age.
-Tint/recolour support available for both liveries.
-Neatly organised menus, organised by generation and livery.
-Small file size and .dds compressed textures, to help with load speed.
-Placeable rail assets available in new or aged versions of all models.
