Transport Fever 2 - East Japan Railway Company E233 Series
It was developed as JR East’s representative mainstay train, which is a further evolution and development of the E231 series trains massively introduced in the Tokyo metropolitan area from 1999 [2]. As such, they are mainly manufactured to replace the commuter trains Series 201, 203, 205, and 209, and the suburban trains Series 211, which were not replaced by the E231 series. They are manufactured by Tokyu Car Corporation (Yokohama Works, General Rolling Stock Works since April 2012), Kawasaki Heavy Industries, and JR East’s own production plant, Niitsu Rolling Stock Works (Niitsu Works, General Rolling Stock Works since April 2014). As a successor, the E235 Series was introduced to the Yamanote Line in 2015.
