Transport Fever 2 - CR 4-4-0 Dunalistair
The ‘Dunalistair’ class of 4-4-0 (also known as the 721 class), was a series of highly successful locomotives for the Caledonian Railway.
These engines were more or less a 4-4-0 version of the already successful 4-2-2 No. 123 of earlier years. These engines were fast and powerful, and quickly found their way onto express passenger duties as well as mail trains.
These 4-4-0s carried through to the LMS and continued to be a success until their replacement by Stanier and Fowler designs in the ’30s.
